The Ghost Riders In The Sky are giving you two brilliant songs for free

In this week’s Fresh Blood Kerrang! lifts the lid on The Ghost Riders In The Sky – a new band comprised of singer Gillian Carter and ex-Gallows guitarist Steph Carter. Taking in a brilliant mix of ’50s and ’60s Americana, ’70s punk and British Indie, they’re delivering a bold new sound that you can hear on the two free downloads of The Wastelands and The Trip.

Speaking about The Wastelands, Steph notes, “There’s a lot of anger and frustration in it. It’s the way I think a lot of the younger generations are feeling in England in a time when a large majority of the population will never be able to afford a home of their own. There’s a sadness to it, but the music’s full of anger and defiance.”

As for The Trip, Steph claims the song, “captures the feeling of losing yourself. You’re not sure where you’re going, who you’re going with or, if you will ever get home but for that brief moment, it really doesn’t matter.”
