blink-182 drummer Travis Barker has been very busy in the studio since the band got back from tour…
Lil Wayne says "This might be my last night" on the blink-182 joint tour
UPDATE (3pm EST) - Lil Wayne has since announced on Twitter that he won't be leaving the blink-182 tour after all:
ORIGINAL STORY:
Reports are suggesting that Lil Wayne has quit his North American tour supporting blink-182.
Playing at Jiffy Lube Live in Bristow, Virginia last night (July 11), Lil Wayne reportedly left the stage just 20 minutes into his set, shortly after addressing the crowd in the clip below.
"I just want the people to know, if you’re wondering, please forgive me but I am so not used to performing to a crowd – and there’s not too many – that’s not my swag," says Lil Wayne. "I’m not sure how long I’m going to be able to do this tour, but make some noise for blink-182. This might be my last night, though."
According to Eli Ruckman who posted the video on YouTube: "Wayne was supposed to go on after Neck Deep, but before blink-182 and play around 30 songs. He played around 10 before making the above comments and putting his mic down in the center of the stage before walking off."
Neither Lil Wayne or blink-182 have made a formal statement about the incident, but they're due to play at Darling’s Waterfront Pavilion in Bangor, Maine, tomorrow (July 13). The joint tour has so far only been going for eight shows, starting in Columbus, Ohio on June 27.
blink-182 are in the midst of teasing a new album, dropping new track Happy Days last week and even suggesting it will be released under the name BOJMIR.
