See Oli Sykes join daine onstage to perform SALT in Melbourne
On the first night of Bring Me The Horizon’s Australian tour, Oli Sykes joined opener daine to perform their 2021 collab SALT.
Fresh from a 2021 Oli Sykes collab, emo-pop artist daine has announced her debut mixtape, Quantum Jumping, and dropped a new single.
Following a huge 2021 – which included collaborating with Oli Sykes and getting the approval of Charli XCX – daine is continuing to build momentum with the release of her debut mixtape, Quantum Jumping.
Due out on March 18, the record was many years in the making and is a 'chronological timeline of the very first songs she wrote at the age of 16', described by daine as a "tombstone to her adolescence".
As another teaser of what's to come from it, the emo-pop artist has shared the single New Ground – listen below:
In a 2021 interview with NME, daine explained of the genre-defying music she makes: “All the songs that are out at the moment I wrote when I was 15 or 16, and I’m definitely finding my feet. With the next few songs that I’m releasing, I wrote them when I was young but I’ve carried them with me and really refined them. They’re still in the same world as what’s come before, but I think these next few months are going to define the rest of my career. No-one else is making music like this. It’s this whole new wave and I’ve never heard music like it. Some people might say it’s nostalgic but to me, it’s a whole new genre.”
