Who are Slipknot’s fans?
We head down to Slipknot’s Here Comes The Pain tour in Manchester to meet the Maggots that had their lives changed forever by nine masked men from the cornfields…
Slipknot's masked frontman Corey Taylor doesn't have time for those against wearing COVID-19 preventative coverings.
After calling on people to “stop whining and put your god damn mask on” last month, Corey Taylor has now spoken about the situation where he resides in Las Vegas, and how there are groups in the area who have “been giving shit to people wearing masks”. Unsurprisingly, he's got a pretty forceful response for that: ‘You know what, man? Fuck you!’
Speaking on the Let There Be Talk podcast about the coronavirus pandemic and how things are going right now where he lives, the Slipknot frontman says, “There are still a bunch of fucking mooks with no masks on at the casinos. And, actually, the people who were there – tourists or visitors or whatever – were giving shit to people who were wearing masks. That was enough for me to just go, ‘You know what, man? Fuck you!’

“It’s like, not everything has to be a political fucking statement. It’s better to just be cautious. It’s better to be smart. You wanna walk around with no fucking mask on, you go ahead and spin the barrel, and let’s see how many times you can click it. But these people who are actually trying to be preventive, there’s no reason for you to give them a rash of shit – they weren’t fucking saying anything to you. It’s just ridiculous, man.”
He continues: “That’s the shit that people aren’t talking about – the fact that some people are just minding their own fucking business, and a bunch of garbage fucking falls out of people’s faces, and it just keeps the fucking wheel spinning. Maybe if we all just kind of kept some shit to ourselves, maybe shit would fucking quiet down.”
Well said. In other news, Corey will be releasing his debut solo album, CMFT, and performing a huge global livestream on October 2. Pre-order the album here, and get your tickets for Forum Or Against ’Em at watch.thecoreytaylor.com.
