Who are Slipknot’s fans?
We head down to Slipknot’s Here Comes The Pain tour in Manchester to meet the Maggots that had their lives changed forever by nine masked men from the cornfields…
The Slipknot frontman is celebrating another 12 months with a jolly solo tune...
Happy birthday, Corey Taylor! Doesn't feel like five minutes since we first met you as a gobby 25 year old back in 1999, and yet here you are, a gobby 47 year old in 2020. Many happy returns to you, sir! We hope you've dropped round to give a high five to your birthday twin and fellow Des Moines resident Bill Bryson. There must be something in the water every March 8, because the number of notable people you share a birthday with is staggering: Jim Morrison, Kim Basinger, Marty Friedman, Def Leppard's Phil Collen, Mary Queen Of Scots... It's also 40 years to the day that John Lennon died.
Thus, Corey is marking the day with a new video for Everybody Dies On My Birthday from his CMFT solo album.
To add to the birthday cheer, Corey's launched a special line of merch over at his website, as well as his own coffee, CMFT Private Blend, in partnership with California coffee folks Menotti’s Coffee.
“We wanted to create something that gave you that same comfortable and cozy feeling you get from a really good cup of diner coffee after you’ve been riding on HWY 666,” he explains. We'll take ten.
In other Slipknot news, they've just announced a run of Euro shows for next summer.
