Who are Slipknot’s fans?
We head down to Slipknot’s Here Comes The Pain tour in Manchester to meet the Maggots that had their lives changed forever by nine masked men from the cornfields…
An oxygen tank landed on Corey Taylor's foot as he was walking onstage for a Slipknot gig, but he didn't let that stop him.
Slipknot's live shows are the stuff of legend, with each member of the Iowa titans suffering to numerous degrees for their art – from broken bones to cuts, bruises and burns. And while DJ Sid Wilson and percussionist Shawn 'Clown' Crahan have arguably had it the worst, frontman Corey Taylor has also seen his fair share of grim injuries across the band's 20-plus-year career.
While recently wrapping up the European leg of Slipknot's epic We Are Not Your Kind World Tour last month, #8 was gearing up for the show and walking onstage when an oxygen tank fell on his foot, leading him to worry that he'd actually broken it.

Naturally, Corey didn't let it faze him, telling the crowd in Helsinki, Finland, "As I was coming up to the stage, an oxygen tank fell from a case and landed on my foot, and I'm fairly certain I have broken bones in my foot.
"There's no way that we're not fucking playing this fucking show, I'm just letting you know," he added to much applause from the audience. "I may have to hobble around, and just fight through it. But I'm gonna give you everything I've got, god damn it."
Corey also added that the ’Knot's European run was one of "the best fucking tours" the band have ever had, so it's no wonder he wanted to fight through the pain to see the tour come to an end the right way.
Hell yeah.
Corey's wife Alicia later reassured fans that all was well, and there are no broken bones.
"No, Corey didn’t break anything!" she tweeted. "An oxygen tank that was stored on a case fell on his foot as he was walking on stage. Yeah it hurt, that’s like a frozen turkey landing on your foot. But he powered through like the beast he is – iced it, and was alright the next day, just sore."
Phew.
