So, who's up for a new hardcore thing, then? Say hello to Constant Elevation, the new project from The Movielife's Vinnie Caruana, and nomadic drummer Sammy Siegler, who's played in such luminaries as CIV, Rival Schools, Glassjaw, Youth Of Today and, indeed, The Movielife over the years. The pair met in 2002 when Sammy was drafted in as an 11th-hour stand-in for a Movielife tour.
Sixteen years later, Vinnie got a call from his one-time skinsman. He's been working on some songs that needed some vocals. The result is their self-titled debut debut EP, out on August 26 on streaming services, and September 6 on ultra-limited seven-inch, available for pre-order here.

"Writing over Sammy’s songs has been really fun and challenging," says Vinnie. "I had to let go of my control issues and it felt liberating! I wrote the lyrics to this tune pacing around my kitchen. It’s about weeding out the rotten souls from your life."
In other shinfo, he also added, "My cat can eat a whole watermelon." Make of this what you will.
