The Kerrang! staff’s top albums of 2024
You’ve seen the Kerrang! albums of 2024. Now check out what the staff were all listening to this year…
Bring Me The Horizon's Post Human: Survival Horror is just 103 sales behind the top spot in the midweeks…
No, you haven't just completely missed a brand-new Bring Me The Horizon record – instead, this week the band are battling for the top spot in the UK album charts as 2020's Post Human: Survival Horror has finally been given a physical release.
And it's doing pretty damn well, too, as the Official Charts Company have announced that, in the midweeks, the release is just 103 sales behind Bicep. As a digital-only EP, Post Human reached Number Five last October, but new CD, cassette and vinyl formats are seemingly boosting that position even higher.
Following last week's Number One spot going to You Me At Six's SUCKAPUNCH, this is very, very exciting to see rock battling it out in the charts right now.

And, with any luck, we should get the next instalment from Bring Me's Post Human… series soon, too. Late last year, Jordan Fish told Kerrang!, “We’ve been writing on and off for quite a while, so there’s a lot of material that’s being worked on. But we haven’t properly got into the rhythm of writing the next EP yet, we’ll probably do that in [2021]. The whole thing’s different to how we planned. We planned to do four EPs in a year, but the last one was almost an album, so I think the spacing will be a bit longer than intended, just because they’re probably going to turn out bigger than intended. That doesn’t matter, as long as they’re all really good.”
