One more song: Do we really need encores anymore?
Encores have long been an established tradition in live music, but are they really necessary? Scene Queen, Boston Manor and The Wonder Years reveal how their shows end by mixing things up…
Boston Manor are back with a new single, Container, that’s a “purposeful about-turn from the darkness” of their 2022 album Datura…
Following some teasing over the last week, Boston Manor have just returned with a brand-new single called Container.
The track is the Blackpool gang’s first since 2022 album Datura, and frontman Henry Cox shares that it’s a “purposeful about-turn from the darkness” of that record, thanks in part to producer Larry Hibbitt and working out in the countryside.
Of the song’s meaning, meanwhile, Henry explains: “Container explores the idea of second chances, the panic that sets in knowing you need to change your world before it’s too late and you get swallowed up and lost forever. It’s about the stagnancy of life creeping up on you and how that can bring about change.”
