BMTH's Oli Sykes To Open New Venue In Sheffield

As if Bring Me The Horizon frontman Oli Sykes didn't have enough business ventures to keep him busy, he's just gone and started another... it's called Church, and it's a new bar and arcade opening in Sheffield.

Church is situated in Osborn Works on Rutland Road - that's a listed building, architecture fans - and opens to the public on Friday, July 6.

The 220-capacity venue will incorporate "live music, vegan food, tattoos, retro gaming and South American religious iconography". There'll be a vegan café with food provided by Sheffield eatery Make No Bones, and a 100 per cent vegan-friendly bar.

Sounds rad, right? Well Oli came up with the idea for the place after visiting somewhere similar in Brazil.

"Our building has incredible heritage and I wanted to develop a 'barcade' concept that truly celebrated and developed that legacy," he explained. "We wanted something that fitted with William John Hale's original and stunning design [of the building] but provided something to wow 21st century customers. Our strap line is ‘Temple of Fun' - we provide a whole experience."
