Travis Barker reveals he’s recorded two albums in the past two months
blink-182 drummer Travis Barker has been very busy in the studio since the band got back from tour…
Over half a million fans bought tickets in North America to see blink-182 reunite with Tom DeLonge (again), making this the band’s most successful tour of their career.
Perhaps unsurprisingly, given how hard even Mark Hoppus found it to get blink-182 reunion tour tickets, the pop-punk heroes’ recent U.S. run has been the highest-grossing tour of their career so far.
With the North American leg concluding in Nashville a few days ago, Billboard have reported that the reunited trio of Tom DeLonge, Mark Hoppus and Travis Barker sold over half a million tickets these past few months, with an average of 15,664 fans attending each show. All in all, that amassed to blink’s reunion tour grossing a whopping $85.3million.
The rest of the world will get to see blink-182 a lot in the coming months, with their current run of shows set to conclude in Mexico next April. Hopefully, between now and then we may also get some fresh music from the band too, following their comeback single EDGING. Back in May, Travis said that their new “album will be finished before we leave on tour”, so watch this space.
