Mark Hoppus reveals previous plans of a big tour with Angels & Airwaves, Transplants and more
Mark Hoppus has revealed that blink-182 once contemplated the idea of a mammoth show with their various side-projects – including +44 and Angels & Airwaves.
At a Simple Creatures press conference with bandmate Alex Gaskarth from All Time Low, Mark was asked by a fan if Simple Creatures would ever open a show for Blink and ATL? And Mark revealed it's not the first time the topic cropped up.
“We should do the ultimate tour," said Mark. "We actually talked about at one point doing a Blink and side-projects tour, where it would be Transplants and Angels And Airwaves and Blink-182, and +44, and everything everyone’s ever been involved with.”
Alex joked that he'd do one show and blow his voice out for a month.
“Do one show, take a week off to recover," responded Mark with a smile. "We’ve talked about doing things like that, I think it’d be fun. Totally."
Simple Creatures recently released their debut EP Strange Love and last night finished a string of four release shows with a headline gig at The Hangar in London.
The band will headline the Avalanche Stage at this year's Download festival on June 15. Get your tickets now.
