Black Stone Cherry frontman Chris Robertson says that Bob Marley's Legend compilation is the album that saved his life.

"I was leaving my house one day to take my own life and luckily I'm still here," says Chris. "I got to talking to Fred [Young], [BSC drummer] John Fred's uncle from The Kentucky Headhunters. He had been through a severe depression as well. He said, 'Go home, put on a Bob Marley record, go somewhere by yourself and just listen.

"I got the Legend record and it made me realise that life isn't about the negative things," he adds. "You can't help but smile when you hear a song like Three Little Birds."
