It's been a busy few days for BABYMETAL. They announced their new album METAL GALAXY, played their first ever show at Glastonbury festival and now they've dropped a new video for PA PA YA!!.
Filmed at the Yokohama Arena in Japan, the kawaii metal torchbearers deliver a fiery performance atop a platform, sending the thousands in attendance into raptures as they surrender to the Fox God.
And not only does Thai rapper HERO join BABYMETAL on guest vocals, but Su-Metal and Moametal are joined onstage by a new member. As pointed out previously, she is Riho Sayashi of the Japanese pop group Morning Musume, and there has been no confirmation of her joining the ranks on a permanent basis. But you've got to assume that appearing with BABYMETAL in a video and onstage at Glastonbury is a step in the right direction for a full-time gig.
PA PA YA!! is taken from BABYMETAL's upcoming third album METAL GALAXY, due for release on October 11.
"The album’s main theme is that BABYMETAL are on an odyssey to the METAL GALAXY and a different variety of songs are packed within the album," say the band. "We are on an odyssey to the METAL GALAXY. Welcome to the world of BABYMETAL!”
