Slipknot, A Day To Remember, BABYMETAL and more for Knotfest Australia 2025
Slipknot are heading back down under next year, and they’re bringing A Day To Remember, BABYMETAL, Within Temptation, Enter Shikari and more with ’em…
Could a brand-new Enter Shikari album be on the way? It looks like their next era may be upon us.
It's only been a couple of months since Kerrang! grilled Enter Shikari frontman Rou Reynolds about a potential new album, and during the interview he told us that they were aiming to create the "definitive" record for their band.
While we don't yet have any concrete information on the follow-up to 2017’s incredible The Spark (which won Best Album at the Kerrang! Awards the following year), it does seem as though the band could be gearing up to unveil something new.
Changing the icons on their social media accounts to a colourful striped image, as well as cryptically posting this pic without a caption, could well mean that Shikari are starting to tease album number six. Interestingly, too, this new striped design follows a post on Rou's social media the day before from inside a studio booth, with fans believing he had just teased a couple of seconds of new music.

Discussing the creation of this as-yet-unknown new effort, the vocalist told us in December: “I wasn’t really sure where to take things next, but there’s a real plan starting to form. There’ll be tracks on there that wouldn’t sound out of place on Take To The Skies or Common Dreads. There’s some heavy stuff, some euphoric things… the synths and guitars are bolder on this record.
“We’re trying to make the definitive Shikari record; the one that a fan would pass to their mate like, ‘You don’t know Shikari? This is where you start.’”
Hell. Yes.
As you can see, as well as their main band account, the individual members have all tweeted the stripes as well – well, bar guitarist Rory Clewlow, but he has changed his icon and header.
While we wait for more news soon, watch Enter Shikari take on the Saint Vitus Bar in Brooklyn, New York, on their Stop The Clocks U.S. tour, filmed by yours truly.
