Who are Slipknot’s fans?
We head down to Slipknot’s Here Comes The Pain tour in Manchester to meet the Maggots that had their lives changed forever by nine masked men from the cornfields…
A billboard has appeared near the site of Coachella in California hinting at some rather exciting Slipknot news – but what does it all mean?
A rather cryptic Slipknot billboard has been spotted in California and the internet is rife with speculation.
The black and white billboard is located in Indio, California, a stone's throw from the site of Coachella, and features the ominous phrases "one night only" and "long may you die" alongside the URL youcantkillme.com.
The website is a throwback to the time of Geocities, replete with a Guestbook and lyrics to each song on the band's 1999 self-titled album. One interesting nugget though, is it says the site was last updated on April 25, 2024 – which is in the future. Does this hint at the date of news being revealed?
Click around the website and there are numerous Easter eggs, including the Feed The Seed statement, which featured on the original Slipknot website many years ago.
The homepage also features the scrolling message: "Pay attention… the answers are all around you…" So there is no doubt more to come before fans' questions are answered.
One theory on Reddit is the band are preparing to release a new single before Sick New World on April 27, another is that they're planning a really small show ahead of the festival, while another reckons they're doing a really big show like Knotfest on the site of Coachella. So no-one really knows for sure.
Whatever happens, it's going to be massive. Keep your eyes on Kerrang! for all the latest.
