Get ready for a fun couple of sentences, statistics fans:
Ticketing outlet Skiddle recently surveyed 1,200 people between the ages of 16 and 30, and a convincing 73% said they don't really care if people use their phones at shows. According to Music Radar, around 50% of that 73% said they film stuff to relive the experience after the show, and about 25% of that 73% said they wanted to share the footage on social media.
The 27% who were clear that they didn't like phones at shows said they thought were phones distracting and that they take away something from the experience. Of that 27%, 8% said they just feel like photography is disrespectful to the artist.
