Japanese sensations BABYMETAL’s brand-new album METAL GALAXY is coming – along with a UK tour! SU-METAL and MOAMETAL tease what’s on the way…

METAL GALAXY Is More Varied Than METAL RESISTANCE
“Our next album has a new type of kawaii metal,” explains SU-METAL of METAL GALAXY – the successor to 2014’s self-titled full-length and 2016’s METAL RESISTANCE. “The last album had cool sounds to the songs, but this time around we’ve incorporated different types of sound into this album. Please look forward to hearing it soon!”

The Theme Is That BABYMETAL Are On An Odyssey
“There is a typhoon #4 approaching Japan and it is named Typhoon Moon,” says MOAMETAL. “The main theme of the Yokohama Arena shows on June 28–29 is the sun and the Nagoya shows on July 6–7 is the moon, and the fact that this typhoon is named after the moon and the timing of its approach all seems so strange but very remarkable.”

And The Idea Behind It Is Very Powerful
“We are creatures of the earth and live on this planet through the powers of the sun and moon and through all facets of nature,” MOAMETAL continues, “so I want our odyssey to the METAL GALAXY to be one that we constantly appreciate how much we are able to travel the world through the power of music.”

BABYMETAL Have Learned Many Lessons
“We’ve toured many countries throughout these years,” reflects SU-METAL of the time between METAL RESISTANCE and METAL GALAXY. “In this next album, we have incorporated sounds from different countries, so I believe that this reflects the journey we’ve made over the past years.”

The Album Tracklist Is Still A Secret For Now...
“That is most definitely top secret!” says MOAMETAL when asked if PA PA YA!!, Elevator Girl, Starlight and Distortion will appear. “Please look forward to what kind of music will be in the album and what we would like to convey in this next album!”

But There's A Tour In 2020 – And They're Very Excited
“We’ve only done headline shows in London, so we’re very excited to go to Cardiff and Manchester!” enthuses SU-METAL. “The tour will take place after the album release, so I hope that we are able to cultivate and nourish the songs with the fans.”
