Watch Salem bring the goth-punk party to The K! Pit
Salem hit the new socially-distanced K! Pit for a half-hour jam of gothic party anthems
Following Higher Power last week, Southampton goth-punks Salem took to our new socially-distanced stage for the latest instalment of The K! Pit in association with Nordic Spirit.
Will Gould and co. blasted out a rowdy 30-minute set in our favourite London dive bar of Blondies, adhering to all necessary governmental COVID measures and with no audience. A weird setting for sure, especially for only their fifth-ever show.
“It could’ve gone horribly wrong, but we just had so much fun. It was really amazing,” said Will after the set.
"Playing a set in front of a camera at this point in the band’s career was a real privilege and we were super excited about playing The K! Pit too because it’s such a great thing to do. This is really the first time that anyone in the wider world will be able to see us, and it’s a great way to showcase what we do.”
Picking tracks from their recent self-titled EP – and making up the setlist on the fly toward the end – it's an absolute belter of a performance.
Here's the setlist:
Fall Out Of Love
Doomed (For Each Other)
William, It Was Really Something
Sweet Tooth
Eyesore
Throat
Heaven Help Me
Destroy Me
We're also giving away a limited number of Salem K! Pit posters – signed by the band. And, thanks to Nordic Spirit – the UK’s No 1 Nicotine Pouch* – you could win a rucksack full of swag!
