Watch Royal Blood's towering new video for latest single Typhoons

Royal Blood hit East London to cast a spell over the capital in their captivating new video for Typhoons.

Following the single's release last week, Royal Blood have just given their latest banger Typhoons a captivating accompanying music video.

The Quentin Deronzier-directed new promo sees the pair – Mike Kerr and Ben Thatcher – perform nearby to the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park in East London, with their show casting "a magnetic spell across the city resulting in hundreds of people sprinting to join them," according to a press release. "As a storm erupts, the duo are surrounded: a typhoon looms large over them, its movements mirrored by the intense, spiralling reaction of the crowd below." Perfect.

Typhoons is taken from Royal Blood's upcoming third album of the same name, which is due out on April 30 via Warner Records.

Discussing the sonic evolution of the record, frontman Mike explains: "We sort of stumbled on this sound, and it was immediately fun to play. That’s what sparked the creativity on the new album, the chasing of that feeling. It’s weird, though – if you think back to Figure it Out, it kind of contains the embryo of this album.

"We realised that we didn’t have to completely destroy what we’d created so far; we just had to shift it, change it," he continues. "On paper, it’s a small reinvention. But when you hear it, it sounds so fresh."
