Watch Queens Of The Stone Age’s packed wall of death from Hellfest
Queens Of The Stone Age have shared some brilliantly wild footage of their Sunday sub-headline slot at France’s Hellfest…
Not for the first time in recent memory, Queens Of The Stone Age’s classic A Song For The Dead has given the internet some goosebump-inducing live footage.
The band went viral for their performance of the 2002 Songs For The Deaf banger at Glastonbury last year, and this past weekend they’ve done the same with a video from Hellfest in France.
QOTSA have shared a from-the-stage look at the crowd during their sub-headline set to Foo Fighters at the Clisson metal bash on Sunday, June 30, with a huge wall of death opening up during the iconic beginning to A Song For The Dead.
The best part is, obviously, around 44 seconds, as the drums kick back in and everyone joyously charges at each other…
QOTSA’s Hellfest set on Sunday follows last month’s Download Festival headline debut.
In our review from the night, we wrote that, “Some questioned whether Queens should have been headlining this festival. Too long since they last played, they said, not quite in tune with the fest, they reckoned. Fuck that. Tonight they gave Download both barrels, ending with an absolutely apocalyptic A Song For The Dead that matches its fever-pitch ending with a light show that probably contains a new primary colour.”
