Watch GWAR profess their love for Ryan Gosling by covering I’m Just Ken

GWAR have spectacularly helped launch the long-awaited new series of The A.V. Club’s Undercover series with a surprise Barbie banger.

For season 9 of Undercover, Blöthar The Berserker and co. kick things off with their very own cover of I’m Just Ken – or, rather, We’re Just GWAR – from last year’s colossal Barbie movie.

When asked why they opted to tackle the Ken power ballad (which of course already ties over into the rock world anyway as it features a real-life solo from Slash), GWAR say that it “just made sense”, and that they’ve been fans of Ryan Gosling “since the Mickey Mouse Club days, and like most terrifying intergalactic heavy metal superstars, we simply adore musical theatre.”
