Watch Green Day’s new Monsters & Saviors skate film

Soundtracked by Longview, American Idiot and Bobby Sox, Green Day have teamed up with the Monster Energy skate crew for an 11-minute movie…

Green Day have just released a new short skate film entitled Monsters & Saviors.

The 11-minute flick (edited and directed by Russell Houghten) sees the punk rock kings team up with Monster Energy to coincide with The Saviors Tour travelling around North America right now, with a huge skate crew assembled to celebrate.

Of course, that tour’s focus is on the 30th anniversary of Dookie and the 20th anniversary of American Idiot in particular – and so Monsters & Saviors is soundtracked perfectly by massive singles Longview and American Idiot from those two records, as well as Saviors favourite Bobby Sox.

“There’s no denying Green Day’s legacy in the skate scene is anything less than iconic,” say Monster. “So, to celebrate The Saviors Tour, it was only right to drop a skate film, soundtracked by classics from Dookie and American Idiot and (a future classic) from their new album Saviors.”

The skaters involved in Monsters & Saviors are: Nyjah Huston, Jake Yanko, Giovanni Vianna, Gabriel Fortunato, Filipe Mota, Jhancarlos Gonzalez, Fabiana Delfino, Liam Pace, Kieran Woolley, Matt Berger, Tom Schaar, Ruby Lilley, Yam Behar, Rune Glifberg, Trey Wood, Elliot Sloan, Moto Shibata, Cocona Hiraki and Edouard Damestoy.
