Watch A Full Iowa-Era Slipknot Show From 2001
A complete Slipknot show from the 2001 Pledge Of Allegiance Tour has just been uploaded for Maggots' enjoyment.
A full set from 2001's epic Pledge Of Allegiance travelling festival has just hit YouTube, featuring Slipknot performing an Iowa-era set just two months on from the release of their incredible second album.
The Iowa titans were touring with Rammstein, System Of A Down, No One and American Head Charge at the time (what a bill!), with footage from this night in particular taken from Detroit's Cobo Arena.

With this metal extravaganza taking place so soon after the 9/11 attacks, Corey Taylor explains to the crowd before a furious Disasterpiece: "Let me tell you something: this tour almost did not happen. This tour was almost derailed because of some very serious shit. They told us it wasn't the right fucking time for heavy music in America. They told us it wasn't the right fucking time to come out to you motherfuckers today."
The frontman continues, "We looked those fuckers straight in the eye and said, 'Fuck you.' So you have one rule, motherfuckers, you have one rule. And that is: you will have the best fuckin' time under one roof tonight, and nobody will say any different. Are you motherfuckers with me?"
And though the nature of filming a gig almost 20 years ago means the quality isn't great, unsurprisingly it's clear that the crowd are more than willing to oblige. Enjoy…
