twenty one pilots troll fans by performing ‘new song’ that’s impossible to hear
Watch twenty one pilots perform a brand-new song during their Vessel variety stream – but don’t get too excited, because you won’t be able to actually make anything out…
Nothing is ever straightforward when it comes to twenty one pilots (it’s why we love them so much, after all), and so on Sunday, when they promised to perform a brand-new song on their Vessel 10th anniversary stream… well, there was a big, annoying twist.
It’s well known by now that the duo – Tyler Joseph and Josh Dun – have finished up their Scaled And Icy album cycle, and are therefore moving on to the next thing. And that next thing is quite possibly already ready to go… so much so that they were willing to play it to close out their Vessel celebrations over the weekend.
If you watched all three hours of Sunday’s stream, you’ll have noticed drummer Josh popping in and out frequently to source different parts of his drum kit, which he’d conveniently forgotten to bring with him. Then, at the end of the stream, when he’d finally got it all together to perform their new track, the drums were turned up so loud that we couldn’t hear a thing that frontman Tyler was singing or strumming on his ukulele…

Of course, there were seemingly other clues hidden throughout the stream too, with fans particularly picking up on a hidden song called I’m Not Home on Tyler’s screen. Is that what we (sort of) heard?
As always, watch this space.
