Tomorrow: The True Story Of Warped Tour's Rise And Fall, Told In Our Podcast

Members of Sum 41 and Less Than Jake -- along with fest founder Kevin Lyman -- reveal the hidden history of Vans Warped Tour in the latest episode of our podcast, Inside Track.

For millions of punk rock fans across North America, and indeed the world, no cultural event was more important than Vans Warped Tour, the traveling punk rock circus that gave misfits everywhere a day to feel less alone. Boasting both the new legends and up-and-coming stars of punk, emo, and beyond, Warped was an annual gathering of rambunctious rock fans misunderstood for 364 days out of the year. Sadly, due to financial strains, in-fighting, and a loss of community, Warped Tour dissolved this past summer -- but to this day, its legacy remains as one of the most impressive in live music.

In the new episode of our podcast Inside Track -- premiering tomorrow, November 8th -- we learn the true story of how Warped Tour went from an experiment in punk-rock community to a cultural landmark that changed the lives of so many fans and bands. Festival founder Kevin Lyman and official Warped Tour photographer Lisa Johnson reveal the festival's origins and growth, as well as what led to its eventual downfall. Meanwhile, members of Sum 41 and Less Than Jake discuss how the festival helped make their careers, while also telling some of the more insane true stories that occurred during Warped's 25-year run.
