This Is How Rammstein's Untitled Album Photoshoot Came Together

Rammstein have released a mini documentary looking at their four-day photoshoot for last year's Untitled album.

If you've ever so much even glanced at a Rammstein photoshoot or video, you'll instantly notice that a lot of painstaking time and effort has gone into it. And the same is true for the pictures that accompany the German titans' latest Untitled album, which was released in May last year.

To celebrate the record's one-year anniversary, the band have unveiled a mini documentary on the four-day photoshoot for Untitled, showcasing the many set-ups and visuals that were created to bring Rammstein's incredible vision to life alongside the music.

"There's a lot of melody and a lot of humour and a lot of role-power and rhythm… I really am so thrilled to be here," enthuses Danish photographer Jes Larsen on set, while stylist Vibe Dabelsteen later explains in the video: “It was tough but the guys helped me out, so it worked well in the end. It’s not like it’s a specific period, but it has elements from different periods in time.

“I think my favourite is keyboardist Flake. He’s the kind of guy that you can’t categorise. He was definitely the one where I was like, ‘How am I going to do it?’ Luckily, he liked it.”

Earlier in the month, Rammstein were forced to postpone their entire European tour due to coronavirus.

“Due to local event restrictions related to COVID-19, which now affect almost all planned dates, the band’s 2020 stadium tour can unfortunately not take place,” a statement read.

“We are currently checking whether it is possible to reschedule the dates and will communicate any updates as soon as possible!

“All tickets will remain valid until then. Thank you again for your understanding and patience.”
