The Smashing Pumpkins Have Released Two New Songs, Cyr And The Colour Of Love
Listen to Cyr and The Colour Of Love, The Smashing Pumpkins' two surprise new songs.

After frontman Billy Corgan recently revealed he had 21 songs for a “pretty different” new record, The Smashing Pumpkins have just unveiled two brand-new tracks: Cyr and The Colour Of Love.
The fresh material is presumably taken from the Pumpkins' upcoming new studio full-length – the follow-up to 2018's excellent Shiny And Oh So Bright, Vol. 1 / LP: No Past. No Future. No Sun. – which the frontman said in February he'd been working on for over a year.

"Cyr is dystopic folly," Billy announced in a statement regarding Pumpkins' new effort, "one soul against the world sort of stuff, set against a backdrop of shifting loyalties and sped up time. To me it stands as both hopeful and dismissive of what is and isn’t possible with faith."
Video director Linda Strawberry adds: "This is a goth fever dream of pent up emotion – an artistic visual release attempting to create a momentary escape from the emotional black cloud hanging over all of us this year. A dark seduction filmed in quarantine at a social distance."
