The Rasmus team up with Eurovision’s Blind Channel for Dark Side cover
The Rasmus singer Lauri Ylönen joins Finnish Eurovision contestants Blind Channel on their song Dark Side…
Blind Channel were the Finnish band on Eurovision who sounded like an angrier Linkin Park. Remember, they were the ones who caused Graham Norton to suddenly keep saying ‘heavy metal’ more times than anyone has said ‘heavy metal’ in human history. Anyway, them.
Having returned home to Finland 301 points richer than they left, having come a very respectable sixth overall in the competition, the band’s frontmen Niko Vilhelm and Joel Hokka have teamed up with Lauri Ylönen of The Rasmus to do a cover of their own song, as part of Lauri’s Bedroom Sessions series.

"Lauri and The Rasmus are hands [down] one of the most legendary Finnish rock exports,” they say of their hero. “I remember as a kid watching those black feathers on TV and jammin’ Dead Letters. When Lauri called me and asked for a collab we couldn’t say no."
