The Ghost Inside Have Announced Their Only UK Show Of 2020
For one night only in 2020, The Ghost Inside are returning to the UK for a very special gig.
Following their triumphant live comeback in Los Angeles earlier this year, The Ghost Inside have announced their highly-anticipated return to UK shores in 2020.
The metalcore heroes have spent the past four years recovering from a near-fatal road collision in November 19, 2015, in which the drivers of both vehicles lost their lives and the remaining passengers suffered a number of life-changing injuries.
Now, The Ghost Inside are ready to hit the UK for the first time since the crash, with a one-night-only live date scheduled for July 4, 2020. The band – vocalist Jonathan Vigil, bassist Jim Riley, drummer Andrew Tkaczyk and guitarists Zach Johnson and Chris Davis – will be hitting London's prestigious O2 Academy Brixton for a show that is truly not to be missed.
“Brixton has so much history for rock music, but in particular for bands like us," Jim tells Kerrang! in this week's issue of the magazine. "We’ve watched lots of our friends do amazing headlining shows there – Architects, Parkway Drive, Bring Me The Horizon, and so many more – that launched them to heights that seemed impossible for bands that do a lot of yelling. I can’t wait to see our name up there on the marquee.”

When asked about the discussions in making this gig a reality, given how much touring logistics have changed for the band since 2015, Jim explains: “It takes months for us to aim for a show right now. Getting the fitness together to perform for 60 or 90 minutes doesn’t happen overnight, and it’s even harder when your body takes twice as long to recover from a workout. The summer will be our first attempt at putting a couple of shows together [the band are also playing Germany's Full Force Festival], and it’s something we know we have to really prepare for.”
Tickets for The Ghost Inside's O2 Academy Brixton gig go on general sale this Friday, November 15, at 9am – but come back tomorrow for an exclusive Kerrang! ticket pre-sale.
