Taking Back Sunday drop new single, Amphetamine Smiles
Get ready for Taking Back Sunday at their most epic...
Exactly one month to the day until the release of their first album in seven years, 152, Taking Back Sunday have dropped another track from it, Amphetamine Smiles.
An enormous, arena-sized emo power ballad of sorts, if it feels like pastures new for TBS, it's because even they reckon it is.
"You could document the writing, arranging, and recording of Amphetamine Smiles, but there's no way to explain how it came together," explains guitarist John Nolan. "It's the product of some kind of magic."

Speaking to Kerrang! recently, singer Adam Lazzara mused on the album's identity, and how it helped the band understand themselves.
“For us, it’s a bit of a reintroduction,” he said. “For a long time it felt like we were trying to get invited into other people’s worlds. But with this [album], we realised that we’d built this incredible thing, so this is more of an invitation into our world.
“Without the people who’ve been with us on this journey, none of this would have been possible,” he added. “To them we’re saying, ‘Come on over, guys – we’ve made some dinner, you’re gonna love it!”
