SWMRS Cancel All Remaining 2019 Tour Dates Following Van Accident

SWMRS' vocalist and guitarist Max Becker encountered black ice on the road during a van journey.

Sad news from the SWMRS' camp today: the band have cancelled all remaining 2019 tour dates following a van accident.

After an amazing weekend at their very own Uncool Fest, the Berkeley punks have now been forced to cancel the rest of their shows for the year while vocalist/guitarist Max Becker rests up and recovers from the incident. He was driving in a van with two others when they encountered black ice on the road, and consequently lost control of the vehicle. Thankfully, it seems as though everyone will be okay.

Read the band's statement below:

"We regret to inform you that last night on the drive from Oakland to Denver, Max, Josh, and Natalie encountered black ice on the road, causing them to lose control of the van. Thankfully, first responders were able to quickly get them to an incredible team of doctors in the intensive care unit at a hospital in Wyoming, and everyone is going to be okay.

"As a result, we are going to cancel all of our shows for the rest of 2019 to give them the time they need to recover.

"Our brother Max is the strongest person in the world. He is our fearless leader. It's going to be a long road to recovery, but we all know that if anyone can do it, Max can. We love you. Share some love with the people around you, and send all of your positive energy to Max, Josh, and Natalie."

Kerrang! would like to send their love to the SWMRS camp – wishing Max, Josh, and Natalie a very speedy recovery.
