Sum 41, Dropkick Murphys, The Interrupters and more announced for Slam Dunk Festival 2022

Rancid are now unable to perform at next year's Slam Dunk – but a bunch of incredible bands have just been added instead!

Slam Dunk have revealed that Sum 41 and Dropkick Murphys will be headlining next year's festival (along with Alexisonfire, who were already announced).

Also included in this next wave of artists are The Interrupters, KennyHoopla, Pennywise, Pinkshift, Deaf Havana, The Mighty Mighty Bosstones, Knuckle Puck, Hot Mulligan, Eskimo Callboy, Yours Truly and Beauty School, with many more still to be revealed in the coming months. Sadly, though, with all the excitement also comes the unfortunate news that Rancid won't be able to make it anymore.

"Incredibly honoured to be a part of such an incredible line-up full of bands we’ve looked up to for years!" says Pinkshift's Paul Vallejo. "Unbelievable that our first time in the UK will be because of our music and the support we’ve gotten from across the pond – we’re forever grateful. Can’t wait to play for you all – see you next summer!"

“After the nightmare past two years and the insane blow to the live and creative industry, words cannot describe how excited I am to play shows again, and even more so knowing that it's Slam Dunk," continues Deaf Havana's James Veck-Gilodi. "This festival has been a place where I have always had a good time, but most importantly been to and played some of the most fun shows of my life. There are always a huge amount of friends there and I can't wait to come back with a new, more focussed mindset."
