SOFT PLAY announce UK headline tour
SOFT PLAY will be touring across England, Wales and Scotland this October in support of new album HEAVY JELLY
Just 24 hours before SOFT PLAY perform at Download Festival, the Tunbridge twosome have announced details of a 13-date headline run around the UK for October.
Kicking off in Brighton on October 15, the HEAVY JELLY tour will climax on Halloween at the O2 Academy Brixton in London.
The tour marks the band's first proper headline tour in six years, and tickets go on sale Wednesday June 19 (with a pre-sale the day before).
Speaking to Kerrang! for their first-ever cover story last month, guitarist/vocalist Laurie Vincent explained how HEAVY JELLY is leaning into being 'a Kerrang! band.'
“I wanted to make nu-metal riffs, I want to reference Korn and I just want to accept that I grew up listening to emo music and I had a Kerrang! subscription," he said. "And what turned out was that those sort of influences leant themselves to what we did completely perfectly. So by embracing the stuff that that actually made us, we’ve made better music – and then in a beautiful, full-circle moment, we became a Kerrang! band, which is kind of what I’ve always wanted to be anyway.”
