Slipknot's Jim Root Wants To Play We Are Not Your Kind In Full Live

Jim Root has said he'd "love to" perform We Are Not Your Kind in its entirety

Slipknot's Jim Root has discussed the possibility of playing We Are Not Your Kind in full.

Speaking on Philadelphia radio station 93.3 WMMR Rocks!, the Slipknot guitarist was asked about the band's potential plans to mark their 25th anniversary next year, and Jim revealed they were definitely thinking about doing something special.

“Clown’s talking about… I don’t know if we’re going to play a record live. We did that with Iowa at Knotfest and it was cool," says Jim, referring to Slipknot's 2016 Knotfest US headline set.

“We have been talking about maybe trying to find some way to play the new album in its entirety, from top to bottom.

“I would like to do that – I think that would be something really cool. And do it in a really toned down, stripped down, no big stage set, club atmosphere type of thing.

“I’d love to do something like that and maybe webcast it.”

Slipknot's latest album We Are Not Your Kind reached #1 in the charts in both the US and the UK last month. Speaking to Kerrang! recently, percussionist Clown said "It’s just a wonderful time to be in Slipknot" right now.

"We worked so hard for so long, and it was really hard to stop and enjoy the success, and enjoy what was happening around us," he added. "You get those sorts of traits when you’re older, and we’re older now – we’re 20 years in. And all the hard work, and all the blood, and losing people… it all makes you stronger."

Slipknot have just finished their Knotfest Roadshow tour of North America and are gearing up for even more shows in Australia with Metallica before Knotfest Mexico and Colombia later this year.

And then they'll return to the UK and Europe in early 2020 with Behemoth! Get your tickets now.
