Slipknot Announce First Ever Knotfest Brazil

Slipknot are taking their epic Knotfest to Brazil next winter…

After teasing a return to South America, Slipknot have just announced details of the first ever Knotfest Brazil.

The masked metal titans will be hitting Sambódromo Do Anhembi In São Paulo on December 19, 2021, and will host an epic event featuring two stages, a Knotfest museum and much more.

The ’Knot's own Shawn 'Clown' Crahan described Knotfest to Rolling Stone as "a dark carnival experience. It's not just the shows, but the environment created around it. It's all about having fun. A day dedicated to our mentality, our ideas, to the people we want to be with. I'm talking about smells, sights, hearing, your body, everything will be overloaded with stimulation."

And, given that it's over a year away, it could be a possibility that the band will have new music in time for Knotfest Brazil.

“Right now is kind of an interesting time,” revealed Clown in early November. “We’re taking this time to write some new music. So for the last week, we’ve been just having a good time, eating a lot of food and writing god music. So we’re having a good time.

“Since everybody’s taken a lot of time off, we thought we’d utilise it by getting together and do what we probably do best, which is write music. So it’s been good, because there’s no pressure. It’s not like we have to. We’re doing it because we want to. And it’s just been a blessing, because boredom can set in. And I know all of us in the world are going crazy, so we’re really lucky to be able to be together and do what we love most.”
