See Tom DeLonge react to Mark Hoppus listening to Angels & Airwaves before a blink-182 show

“This song f*cking rips!” Watch the incredibly wholesome moment that Mark Hoppus plays Angels & Airwaves in his dressing room backstage at a blink-182 gig.

What music do the members of blink-182 play backstage before a show to get pumped up? On the band’s current European headline tour, bassist Mark Hoppus has been listening to frontman Tom DeLonge’s other band, Angels & Airwaves. Awwww.

In a live video from Mark’s Instagram (and recorded by @blink182italia), the bassist grabs his pal before they hit the stage to show him what he’s getting warmed up to. “Let’s see if he can recognise what I’m playing in my dressing room,” Mark tells the camera, before Tom replies, “It’s probably gonna be, like, Baby Shark?”

Once Tom walks in to Mark’s dressing room and clocks that his bandmate is listening to AVA’s brilliant 2006 single The Adventure, he happily asks, “Wait, why is this on here?” And Mark’s very valid response? “’Cause this song fucking rips!”

As if it couldn’t get any sweeter, Mark then adds, “I’m listening to my friend’s band to get pumped up to go play our band’s show,” while Tom humbly shares that, “It’s all of our songs – Mark and I learned melody from each other.”

This is the best! Check out the incredibly wholesome video below.
