See Red Hot Chili Peppers perform as part of the 2024 Olympics closing ceremony
With Paris’ event coming to an end, the Red Hot Chili Peppers helped get people excited for the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic Games with a beachside performance of Can’t Stop…
After Gojira broke the rock and metal internet with their 2024 Olympics opening ceremony performance in Paris last month, our scene was once again nodded to at this weekend’s closing ceremony.
The Red Hot Chili Peppers made a memorable appearance across the pond by playing their 2002 classic single Can’t Stop at sunny Venice Beach, which was part of the handover segment looking ahead to the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic Games, with Paris having now come to an end.
As well as Flea, Chad Smith, Anthony Kiedis and John Frusciante getting excited for LA28 – which will take place from June 14 to July 30 in four years’ time – this star-studded affair also involved fellow locals H.E.R., Billie Eilish, Snoop Dogg and Dr. Dre.
