Listen to alt. singer-songwriter Roe Kapara’s second EP, Big Cigars And Satin Shorts: “There’s a lot more songs that are closer to my heart on this project…”
Roe Kapara has released a new EP, and shared a music video for the track Hate Myself.
His second EP – which goes by the name Big Cigars And Satin Shorts – follows a big couple of months for the young alt. singer-songwriter, having performed at London’s The Grace as well as this year’s stacked 2000trees Festival.
Roe says of what to expect from this latest musical endeavour: “There’s a lot more songs that are closer to my heart on this project. I was just not playing into whatever the internet told me to make.”

And check out the video for Hate Myself, too. Roe says that it’s “the feeling of anxiety that comes with tying your self-worth to others’ opinions. The song really sounds like a downer, but in reality, it’s about finding self-confidence.
“its core, it’s a protest against moulding yourself into a life that makes everyone else around you happy but leaves you feeling like an actor in a shitty play. I wanted to feel like I was detaching myself from the weight of everyone else’s expectations of me.”
