RedHook announce new album Mutation: “We made this for the misfits, the outliers, the weirdos”

Sydney crew RedHook have announced their second album Mutation, and shared a cover of Tate McCrae’s greedy to celebrate the news…

Following on from last year’s 4/5-rated Postcard From A Living Hell debut, RedHook have just announced their second album Mutation.

The Sydney band will be releasing the LP on November 22 via Adventure Cat Records, with singer Emmy Mack proudly describing that, “Mutation felt like the perfect name for this record because we wanted it to feel like an evolution in every single way, not just in RedHook’s sound, but in the stories we’re telling and the messages behind them. We want to offer new perspectives, challenge old ways of thinking and just double-down on being unapologetically ourselves.

“RedHook has always felt like a bit of a misfit,” Emmy adds. “A lot of people don’t quite ‘get’ us. But we didn’t make this record for those people. We made it for the ones like us. The misfits, the outliers, the weirdos. We can’t wait for you to hear it.”

Before its arrival in a couple of months, RedHook made their Like A Version debut on triple j this week, covering Tate McCrae’s greedy. Check that out below:
