Queens Of The Stone Age have just announced that frontman Josh Homme “must return to the United States immediately”, and their remaining European performances this month are no longer happening.
Queens Of The Stone Age have just had to pull out of their remaining European shows this month.
The band have announced that frontman Josh Homme is having to return home for “emergency surgery”, and therefore they won’t be able to attend their scheduled appearances in France, Slovakia, Germany, the Czech Republic, Austria, Romania, Croatia and Greece between July 10 and July 27.
A caption from the band’s Instagram reads: “Queens are gutted we aren’t able to play for you. We apologize for any inconvenience and share in your frustration and disappointment.”
Meanwhile, a statement explains: “QOTSA regret to announce that Josh Homme must return to the United States immediately for emergency surgery. Every effort was made to push through and play for you, but it is no longer an option to continue.”
They add that if you were planning to see them at a festival, you need to visit the specific festival website for info. For headline dates, you’ll be contacted directly from the point of purchase.
Kerrang! sends our best to Josh and the rest of the band at this time.
