Pearl Jam Release New Song And Announce 30th Anniversary Livestream

Pearl Jam's Get It Back was originally available for one day as part of a Bandcamp fundraiser for raising voter awareness – but you can hear it in full now.

Pearl Jam have made their recently-released song Get It Back available on streaming services for the first time.

The Seattle legends had previously offered the song as a one-day-only Bandcamp download as part of the Good Music To Avert The Collapse Of American Democracy Pt 2 compilation alongside Arcade Fire, Talking Heads’ David Byrne, The War On Drugs and many others, with proceeds going to American Rights Lab, an organisation working to “secure, protect, and defend the voting rights of all Americans”.

The band have also announced that they will celebrate the 30th anniversary of their first show – October 22 at the Off Ramp in Seattle – by streaming their gig at Philadelphia’s Wells-Fargo Center in 2016 at Nugs.net. The 32-song set has never been shown before, and features a full run-through of the band’s Ten debut.

For those wanting to see the band in the flesh, they also recently announced two gigs in London’s Hyde Park for July 9 and 10 next year, after this summer’s planned gig was nixed due to COVID-19. Already announced to join Eddie Vedder and co are alt.rock legends Pixies, and Bristol punks IDLES.

Until then, stick Get It Back on repeat below…
