Paramore’s beautiful cover of Foo Fighters’ My Hero finally hits streaming
Paramore have seemingly been trawling through the archives, with their 2006 cover of Foo Fighters’ My Hero hitting streaming services along with Hayley Williams’ song Teenagers from the Jennifer’s Body soundtrack.
From excellent sixth album This Is Why to a recent feature with none other than Taylor Swift, Paramore have been spoiling their fans with new stuff this year. And the band are continuing to treat them, with a couple of older gems being officially uploaded to streaming services.
Up first we’ve got their cover of Foo Fighters’ My Hero, which follows Hayley Williams joining the band onstage last month at Bonnaroo Music & Arts Festival in Tennessee to perform the song. Paramore’s beautiful acoustic rendition of the rock classic was actually recorded all the way back in 2006, but it’s taken them a while to get it on Spotify…
“Not long after Bonnaroo, Paramore fans used their powers to convince us to get this lil 2006 moment up and streaming,” posted Hayley on her Instagram. “We always did gush over the Foo Fighters but judging the electronic version/track 2, teenage Paramore were clearly on a The Postal Service kick too.”
On top of that, Hayley’s song Teenagers, taken from the 2009 soundtrack to Jennifer’s Body, is also now available to stream.
