Ozzy Osbourne To Donate Merch Money To Michael J. Fox’s Parkinson’s Charity
Cash from Ozzy’s online merch bonanza will help fund Parkinson’s research
Ozzy has announced that proceeds from sales of tour merch will go to The Michael J. Fox Foundation, the charity set up by the Back To The Future star who has lived with Parkinson's since 1991.
Among the stuff up for grabs on Ozzy’s eBay store are Ozzy and Sabbath shirts, hoodies, bags, hats, laminates, signed records and loads more. And, for the Sabbath fan who has everything, a box of BS confetti.
"Past tour's exclusive merch last bits of remaining stock available until sold out!" wrote Ozzy on Twitter. "April is Parkinson's Awareness Month so 10% of all sales going directly to the Michael J Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research."
Ozzy revealed in January that he had been diagnosed with Parkin-2, a form of Parkinson’s. He and his wife and manager Sharon had hoped to travel to Switzerland this month to visit a specialist in the condition, however this has been postponed due to the coronavirus lockdown.
Ozzy released his excellent new album Ordinary Man in February, and touring is set for the end of the year.
