Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne love story to be officially adapted into Sony film

Sharon Osbourne says her and Ozzy are "thrilled" to be bringing their "wild, insane and dangerous" love story to the big screen.

Following Sharon Osbourne's comments in January 2020 that she wanted to make a movie about her marriage to Ozzy, an official biopic on the beloved heavy metal couple has just been confirmed.

As reported by Variety, the currently untitled project is in the works with Sony Pictures and Polygram, with Jack and Aimée Osbourne producing it via their label Osbourne Media.

Sharon says of the exciting, long-awaited announcement: "Our relationship at times was often wild, insane and dangerous but it was our undying love that kept us together. We’re thrilled to partner with Sony Pictures and Polygram to bring our story to the screen."

Other known information regarding the film at this time includes the fact that it'll be written by Lee Hall (Billy Elliot, Rocketman), and it will feature music from Ozzy's solo career, and of course Black Sabbath.

In May last year, Jack explained on The Jasta Show of the idea for the storyline and if he would feature: "I think the time period I would do it in, I would be a child in it. So I wouldn’t be so heavily featured. It’s gonna be more about my mom and dad making their way through the world. I would be in the background just being annoying."

Previously speaking to Variety, Sharon revealed of her vision for it: "I don’t want to do another rock’n’roll, sex, drugs and money movie about a musician. That’s not what I’m doing. There hasn’t been a movie about a woman that actually works on the management side – that’s a true story – and somebody that succeeds through the struggle and you come out the other side."
