Metallica reschedule show after James Hetfield tests positive for COVID
Get well soon, Papa Het! Metallica have pushed back their M72 date at the State Farm Stadium as “unfortunately COVID has caught up with James”.
Metallica have announced that the second night of their M72 world tour stop in Glendale has been pushed back just under a week, as frontman James Hetfield has tested positive for COVID.
Posting a photo of James’ hand next to a positive test, the band took to social media to say that “unfortunately, COVID has caught up with James. We’re extremely disappointed and regret any inconvenience this has caused you.”
The show was originally due to take place at the State Farm Stadium on Sunday, September 3, but will now be happening on Saturday, September 9 – with all tickets of course remaining valid.
