Metallica, Pete Wentz and more working with Vault Comics on new graphic novels
Vault Comics have launched a novel line, Headshell, featuring new works from Metallica, Fall Out Boy’s Pete Wentz and more.
While we’re very much waiting patiently for new albums from Metallica and Fall Out Boy, both are at least giving us something new to read in the meantime: the two have teamed up with Vault Comics for a new line of graphic novels.
This range, entitled Headshell, will also feature new books from Def Leppard, The Beach Boys and Redman, with FOB’s Pete Wentz sharing his graphic novel first.
The bassist’s effort is entitled Dying Inside and was worked on alongside Hannah Klein and Lisa Sterle. “Creating a new graphic novel with Vault and one of my favorite writers, Hannah Klein, has been an insane experience – in the best possible way,” enthuses Pete. “Between her perspective, honesty and super dark sense of humor, and Vault’s creative support throughout the entire process, I’m excited to share it with the world soon.”

Meanwhile, Metallica will unveil their first book in 2023. “The team at Vault are pushing boundaries and are bold storytellers,” says Lars Ulrich. “We are excited to partner with them.”
“We have one overriding goal at Vault: to bring readers the very best comics and graphic novels,” continues Vault CEO, Damian Wassel. “We’re thrilled to bring that experience creating amazing, award-winning stories to Headshell in partnership with some of the biggest names in music. I can’t wait to share the Headshell line of books with the world.”
Stay tuned for more details in the coming months…
