Metallica announce new album and world tour, unleash new single Lux Æterna
MASSIVE METALLICA NEWS! The metal legends have dropped new single Lux Æterna from their upcoming 12th album 72 Seasons, and announced a big ol’ world tour to go along with it…
It’s finally happening! Metallica have confirmed that the follow-up to Hardwired… To Self-Destruct is coming very soon!
The band have just announced details of album number 12, which is 77 minutes long, goes by the name 72 Seasons, and arrives on April 14, 2023 via Blackened Recordings.
James Hetfield – who produced the album with Greg Fidelman and Lars Ulrich – explains of that title: “72 seasons. The first 18 years of our lives that form our true or false selves. The concept that we were told ‘who we are’ by our parents. A possible pigeonholing around what kind of personality we are. I think the most interesting part of this is the continued study of those core beliefs and how it affects our perception of the world today. Much of our adult experience is re-enactment or reaction to these childhood experiences. Prisoners of childhood or breaking free of those bondages we carry.”
