Megadeth Confirm Their Return To The Stage
On their social media accounts, the thrash titans have confirmed that they're ready to melt faces once more.
2019 was an intense year for thrash titans Megadeth, with frontman Dave Mustaine revealing that he'd been diagnosed with throat cancer back in June. But only shortly after that difficult news came out, Dave seemed to be bouncing back, posting photos of him in the studio and announcing a massive European tour with Five Finger Death Punch. Now, the band have posted an update to their social media accounts, announcing that they're back -- and ready to hit the road.
The band posted a photo of Dave and guitarist Kiki Loureiro performing together, with the caption, "Megadeth is back! We can’t wait to see and play for you all on the Killing Road in 2020! What songs do you want to hear?"

Dave has remained positive about his diagnosis since it was announced in June. In September, he took to social media to give fans insight into how he was doing, writing, “I’m almost through the last round of treatment and my doctors are feeling very positive regarding my progress. I want to thank all of you for the support and well wishes these last few months. I can’t express enough gratitude as it has made this hard road easier knowing you are in my corner fighting with me!
“Over the next few weeks my condition will be evaluated, and I will keep you posted on my progress as we get closer to the sailing date of the first Megacruise!"
