The Veronicas have shared the next single from their upcoming album Gothic Summer – get stuck into the super-catchy Detox right now.
The Veronicas have followed up October comeback single Perfect with another new banger.
This latest one from the Aussie duo goes by the name Detox, with both tracks taken from their upcoming album Gothic Summer (due out in March via Big Noise).
Speaking about Detox’s accompanying video – which was created with director and former Australian Pro BMX Rider Pat Freyne – The Veronicas explain: “We contrasted wide shots with extreme close-ups, and purposefully improvised dance scenes to encourage physical and emotional mirroring in the moment.
“A mix of ’60s choreography, fused with some Michael Jackson kicks and high energy, to encapsulate the fighting emotional volatility of the song. The video ends in a burst of underwater colour and sinking euphoria upon the tempo change, giving in to the push-pull cycle of the song’s lyrics.”
